Magnificent panoramic route
Discover the Cabot Trail, a magnificent panoramic route between the sea and the mountains providing an opportunity to connect with nature! The bikeway follows the north shore of Cape Breton Island and climbs up to the plateaus of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. From there, you will travel to Chéticamp, the region’s Acadian heritage centre, and then head, via Bras d’Or Lake and its quiet roads, toward Sydney and its beautiful port, with the option of visiting the Fortress of Louisbourg, the largest reconstructed 18th century French fortified town in North America. Jean Cabot marvelled at the beauty of the region in 1497. Now you can do the same!
