La Rioja and Castilla y León

For a cycling holiday off the beaten path, here is Spain’s trump card! Located in the north of the country, La Rioja and Castilla y León are part of the historic region of Vieille-Castille. In Castilla y León, the city of Burgos offers an eloquent gothic architectural heritage, which includes its cathedral, the Monasterio de las Huelgas or the Cartuja de Miraflores; La Rioja, particularly its capital Logroño, sets itself apart with its DOCa wines. Both Burgos and Logroño are located on the most popular Compostela pilgrimage trail. Lastly, for a memorable nature break, the Sierra de Cebollera Nature Park offers one of the best wildlife reserves. A trump card has its advantages!
