Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes

An amazing destination, neighbouring Ontario has much to offer. Take the time to discover the full extent of its beauty and historical past. You will be completely enchanted! You will spend three days in undulating, pastoral hinterland, mainly along the Rideau Heritage route, a multi-tiered waterway ingeniously constructed in 1832 and inscribed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 2007. This will be followed by four days in the lovely Thousand Islands region – including stopovers in Belleville, Kingston and Brockville – against the backdrop of Lake Ontario, a veritable landlocked freshwater sea ringed by sandy beaches.

Inspired from the 2011 Grand Tour Desjardins.
