Sonoma and Napa Valleys

Cradle of American viticulture

Travelling by bike through California wine country means appreciating first-hand some of this splendid region’s 500 vineyards and then succumbing to the pleasures fine dining and wine-tasting. During this relaxed 8-day trip, criss-cross two valleys (Sonoma and Napa) separated by lovely mountain chains, bike through charming small towns and then treat yourself to steep ascents and exhilarating descents wherever your fancy takes you. As you pedal along, visit one or two wine cellars to cool off, take a break in a meadow or an orchard, and admire scenery and estates reminiscent of Tuscany. And to top it all off, spend your last night in San Francisco!
