Scale, from Lake Léman to the Mediterranean, the legendary routes through the French Alps: L'Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier, Col d’Izoard… Mythic passes with epic pasts, paved with the colours of the greatest cycling champions, where you can pedal toward your dreams! Over 15,000 metres of climbs and descents, sometimes at altitudes of more than 2,000 metres, 25 linked passes: dizzying! At the summit, catch your breath as you look out over the alpine roofs. From top to bottom, the descent promises to be exhilarating. A total of 1,000 classic kilometres! It’s your turn to inscribe your name on the famous routes of the Tour de France. But if you plan to tackle these alpine giants, best make sure you’re in tiptop shape!

Short route: 859 km • Long route: 1401 km

Day 1 - Arrival in Lyon and transfer to Armoy (2.5 hrs).
Day 2 - Armoy, La Vernaz, Col du Grand Taillet, Col du Corbier, Le Biot, Saint-Jean-d'Aulps, Les Gets, Taninges, Cluses. Looped route via Col de la Joux Verte, Col de la Joux Plane (81 to 107 km).
Day 3 - Cluses, Romme, Le Reposoir, Col de la Colombière, Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz, Col des Aravis, Flumet, Les Saisies (77 km).
Day 4 - Les Saisies, Beaufort, Col du Meraillet, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Séez, Sainte-Foy Tarentaise, Barrage de Tignes, Val d'Isère. Looped route via Col du Pré, Col du Petit St-Bernard (88 to 138 km).
Day 5 - Free day or looped route via Tignes (29 km).
Day 6 - Val d’Isère, Col d’Iseran, Bonneval-sur-Arc, Col de la Madeleine, Lanslebourg Mont-Cenis, Col du Mont-Cenis, Susa, Oulx, Cesana Torinese, Montgenèvre, Briançon. Boucle via Bardonècchia, Col de l’Échelle. (passe par l’Italie) (141 or 155 km).
Day 7 - Free day or looped route via Col d’Izoard, Guillestre, Pallon, L’Argentière-la-Bessée, Les Vigneaux, Villar-St-Pancrace Risoul 1850 et/ou Pré de Mme Carle (96 to 150 km).
Day 8 - Briançon, Chantemerle, Le Monêtier-les-Bains, Col du Lautaret, La Grave, Barrage du Chambon, Alpe d'Huez. Looped route via Col du Galibier, Clavans-le-Haut (79 to 99 km).
Day 9 - Free day or looped route via Sarennes, Allemont, Oz, Villard-Reculas, Alpe d’Huez. Looped route via Col de la Croix de Fer (55 to 103 km).
Day 10 - L’Alpe d’Huez, Col d’Ornon (1371 m), Le Périer, Col de l’Holme, Corps, St-Disdier, Col du Noyer (1664 m), Poligny, St-Laurent-du-Cros, Gap (133 km).
Day 11 - Gap, Remollon, Le Lauzet-Ubaye, Les Thuiles, Les Gorges du Bachelard, Col de la Cayolle (2326 m), St-Martin d’Entraunes, Guillaumes, Valberg (143 km).
Day 12 - Free day or looped route via Gorges du Cians, Pugets-Théniers, Entrevaux, Gorges de Daluis, Péone, La Rochette, Col du Trébuchet (1141 m), Col de Buis (83 to 133 km).
Day 13 - Valberg, Roubion, St-Martin-Vézubie, Lantosque, Levens, St-André-de-la-Roche, Nice. Looped route via Bolène-Vésubie (117 to 136 km).
Day 14 - Transfer to Nice airport and flight back to Montréal.
Elevation Profile

The package includes:

  • round-trip air transportation for passenger and bicycle with Air Transat;
  • transfer between airport and hotel;
  • 13 nights in two- to four-star hotels, alpine style accommodation (double occupancy);
  • 13 breakfasts and 4 evening meals;
  • baggage transportation (one bag per person, 20-kg maximum);
  • mechanical assistance and access to a relief vehicle;
  • daily route plans;
  • taxes;
  • protection from the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents (CFCTA). No charge since January 1st, 2019.

Equipment (e.g., bicycle) is not included.
