Chablis and Champagne

Irresistible yellows

If this itinerary were to have a colour, it would definitely be yellow… not that of the prestigious jersey, but rather the subtle, multiple hues of the local, world-renowned nectars. Therefore, between Auxerre (famous for its burgundy wine) and Reims (famous for its champagne), the stopovers in this holiday may entice you to sample the Chablis, dry white wines made 100% from the Chardonnay grape, and then the champagnes, made mainly from Pinot Noir N, Pinot Meunier N and Chardonnay B grapes. Upon reaching the Épernay region and Reims, the city of kings and champagne, we suggest that you make a toast to Dom Pérignon (1638-1715), a monk/cellar master who was instrumental in perfecting the art of winemaking! It should be noted that to give you more freedom to set your own pace, you will spend two nights in each stopover town. Cheers!
