The irresistible appeal of the North

Often cited as the reason for its quality of life, Sweden loves and respects nature. It is both a cycling country and haven. This will become apparent as soon as you set out on the Kattegattleden – voted European Cycle Route of the Year in 2018. This bike path winds through Sweden’s charming west coast from Halmstad to Göteborg, the country’s second-largest city, known for its cuisine and dubbed the Fish Temple. You will then ride eastward along the immense Lake Vättern through the small fishing villages between Jönköping and Motala, making sure to take time for fika, the traditional Swedish coffee break. Your trip will culminate in the cultural hub of Stockholm, featuring, among other things, the colourful Old Town of Gamla stan, the royal palace, and the Nobel, Vasa and ABBA museums. And don’t forget that August is the month to enjoy crawfish. In short, there is so much to see and do in Sweden that even the sun stays up late!
