Beyond the falls
On the program, much more than the famous falls: history, invention, architecture and agritourism. Explore the Welland Canal and its locks. Pedal along the Niagara River Recreation Trail toward the falls and stop at a few winegrowers’ to sample their ice wines. In Queenston Heights Park, admire the panorama on the Niagara River and Lake Ontario. Visit the Loyalist manors in Niagara-on-the-Lake and smell the roses in the Botanical Gardens.
