Ormstown to Huntingdon

It's already the end of La Petite Aventure! But before we say goodbye, we've still got a great day's cycling left to get back to our original starting point in Huntingdon. On this beautiful day, you have a choice of several optional and shortened routes, which will allow you to enjoy the pretty, bucolic roads of the Haut-Saint-Laurent for longer... or to get to the finish quickly to celebrate the weekend's achievements!

 

Headlines

Before setting off on your last day of cycling, enjoy a hot drink fromEscape Café in the village between 6 and 10 am.

If you wish to pick up your lunch on arrival, please notify the INFO booth before 9 a.m.

Vélo Québec is proud to count Lait as a presenting partner of La Petite Aventure. Enjoy a good chocolate milk to help you recover after the effort at the finish line.

  • If you have any questions, unforeseen circumstances or last-minute changes, come and see us at the INFO Vélo Québec booth. It will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Ormstown village, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Huntingdon finish site.

Regular route, 47.4 km

Departing from Ormstown, you'll pass through a series of small villages before reaching the end of this Little Adventure in Huntingdon. On the program: Dewittville, Saint-Stanislas-de-Kotka, Sainte-Barbe, Delmont and finally, Huntingdon!

On this last day, you can enjoy the region's pretty, quiet roads one last time before heading home. You'll come across a few businesses on the regular route, including a farm in Saint-Stanislas-de-Kotka, a microbrewery in Sainte-Barbe, and even a historic site in Rivière-la-Guerre, which will require you to deviate slightly from the route (1.9 km) at the junction of Chemin de la Rivière la Guerre and Montée Quesnel, but which could prove a nice detour for history buffs!

Optional AM route, +13.5 km

This morning's optional itinerary takes you to the small villages of Landreville and Émard, before returning to the regular route in Saint-Stanislas-de-Kotka at the lunch stop.

Caution! This course is particularly fast and may not be suitable for young children.

Lunch stop, km 22

Meet us at École Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption (115 Rue Centrale, Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka, QC J0S 1W0), in Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka, for the last lunch stop of your Little Adventure!

For this last optional route, we take you for a spin on pretty wooded roads that will let you discover the bucolic charm of Maplemore, Dundee Centre before returning to the final stretch of the regular route at Clyde Corners.

Shortcut 1 - 14.1 km (-33.3 km)

In a hurry to get home? Take advantage of this shortcut, which will get you to the finish line quickly and without missing any of the day's highlights. You'll have the chance to skirt the lovely Châteauguay River one last time along Fairview Road, before heading back to the finish line in Huntingdon.

Please note! This route does not include the lunch stop. If you wish to take this route, please notify the INFO kiosk before you leave so that you can pick up your lunch on arrival in Huntingdon.

Shortcut 2 - 36.3 km (-11.1 km)

In a hurry to get home, but not too much? Take advantage of this pretty 36 km route that will take you through the bucolic roads of Dewittville, Saint-Stanislas-de-Kotka and Sainte-Barbe, while cutting a few kilometers off the regular route to give you a head start on your return home... or on the post-Petite Aventure celebrations!

On arrival

At the finish of your Petite Aventure, celebrate your weekend on the road with music at the finish site, where our bistro will be serving refreshments, including Siboire's fine beers, from noon to 6 pm.

 

Return by shuttle

Have you chosen the shuttle option to leave Huntingdon? Please arrive at the entrance to the Hungtindon Regional Arena at least 15 minutes before the shuttle leaves at 4 p.m.
