Loop around Acton Vale

Today, it's loop day around our village of Acton Vale, for what promises to be one of the most beautiful Sundays of the summer! There are several loops of varying distances to choose from, whether you prefer to enjoy the village, or rather maximize the day's kilometers!

Depart at your own pace from the village between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Bring your children's swimsuits: water games are available at the lunch stop.

Vélo Québec is proud to count Lait as a presenting partner of La Petite Aventure. Enjoy a good chocolate milk to help you recover after the effort when you arrive at the Village.

  • Enjoy a hotEscape Café beverage at their truck between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Come and try out several outdoor games (spikeball, badminton, arrow bow and Finnish bowling) supplied by Décathlon!
  • At the finish line, enjoy a well-deserved chocolate milk, courtesy of Le Lait, plus another surprise!
  • Try our Made Good snacks at the lunch stop.
  • Taste delicious Catelli pasta in the village.
Other important information
  • Would you like to dine in the village instead of at the lunch stop? You'll need a bracelet to obtain your meal in the village, at the info booth, the day before, Day 1, before 9 p.m.. Wristbands will also be distributed at the entrance to the evening meal area. This will ensure that we have the right quantity of meals in the village and at the rest stop.
  • Get your Petite Aventure jerseys or Vélo Québec clothing at our Village Boutique between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.
  • If you'd like to book a massage after your day's cycling, drop by our massage therapist's kiosk in the village before you hit the road to reserve your time.

If you have any questions, unforeseen circumstances or last-minute changes, come and see us at the INFO Vélo Québec booth. It will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

If you're taking part in the Tour d'un jour, free parking is available in the village of Acton Vale for the day (Polyvalente Robert-Ouimet: 1450 Av. 3e, Acton Vale, QC J0H 1A0).

Regular route, 54 km

Today, it's loop day around Acton Vale! Your regular route will allow you to explore the Montérégie-Est region, with stops in Roxton Falls, Saint-Valérien-de-Milton and Upton before returning to the village of Acton Vale.

Please note:

  • Seven kilometers of rock dust.
  • Rang de la Chute and Chemin d'Upton (Route 211) can be more traffic-intensive. But the former is "very, very pretty" according to our course master.
  • You can admire the banks of the Rivière Noire and the lookout point at Roxton Falls (near Route 139).
  • Ranger 9 is a winding, tranquil forest trail, where you may see a few alpacas.

Optional AM route, +21 km

Extension to Roxton Ponds via chemin de la Grande-Ligne and 3e rang (pavement a little damaged). A few valleys through agricultural fields. Ideal for adding mileage to your day through flowery fields and vineyards.

Please note: we expect heavier traffic on 3e Rang E. between Roxton Pond and Milton-Est, as well as on Route 211/Milton Road between Milton-Est and St-Valérien de Milton.

Lunch stop, km 28

École Saint-Pierre in Saint-Valérien-de-Milton

The mechanical kiosk will be open to serve you from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring your children's swimsuits, there are water games on site!

Optional PM route, +14 km

Our team's favorite: Through fields and farms, with a section on the banks of the Rivière Noire. A beautiful downhill view of the 9th rang and rang Saint-Georges.

Shortcut AM, 33 km

Tired from yesterday? Take a short 33 km loop before heading back to the village to enjoy the day's activities. Four kilometers are on dirt on Route Laliberté. This route is through fields and very quiet.

In the village

Once you've arrived at the Village in the small town of Acton Vale (Polyvalente Robert-Ouimet: 1450 Av. 3e, Acton Vale, QC J0H 1A0), there's something for everyone. Whether you're looking to unwind, have a drink or take your mind off things, we've got you covered!

Tonight in the village, you can :

  • Play in Jack's Jungle amusement trailer from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Have your bike adjusted at the mechanics' booth, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool located 2 km from the village between 12.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.
  • Or the water games at Parc Donald-Martin, 1.5 km from the village.
  • Immerse yourself in an interactive investigative story with the immersive Sherloconte show at one of 5 performances from 2 to 6:45 p.m.
  • Try out over 30 games offered by Sociojeux from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Have a drink (or two, or three... ) at the bistro between 3 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
  • Come and stretch your muscles at the free yoga session at 4 p.m. (you must bring your own yoga mat).
  • Watch the short film Cycle 24 with director Karyne Lemieux.
  • Relax before a film in the village auditorium. Program to come.
  • Enjoy the music of the WEST trio, a country-folk-bluegrass-cajun band, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the bistro.
  • End the evening at the Bistro with our DJ from 9 to 10:30 p.m.
