Connecting Toulouse to the Mediterranean, the Canal du Midi is characterized by the extraordinary light that inspired Van Gogh. Rich in history thanks to cities such as Carcassonne and its medieval citadel, or Narbonne, the first Roman colony outside Italy, it offers a generous cuisine featuring cassoulet and sausages.
And to allow you to fully appreciate this charming program, your itinerary is structured around three stopover towns from which you can set off on loops, giving you complete freedom in terms of pace. Travel along the Canal roads at your own pace, enjoying the pleasure of contemplating the superb landscapes and stopping at every turn filled with history.
With the Self-guided option, enjoy your stay however you want, in complete independence. We give you the itinerary, book your accommodation, and the rest is up to you!
4 STAGE TOWNS: Your itinerary is designed in loops around four stage towns, limiting the amount of travel and giving you plenty of time to discover and enjoy the places you visit.
