Departing from Córdoba, the Andalusian capital with its charming historic center, you will be delighted to discover Spain's sunniest region, home to flamenco and bullfighting. Andalusia also boasts a fabulous architectural heritage inherited from Moorish rule, which lasted fromthe 8thtothe 15thcentury.
Seville offers an eloquent example of this: the Real Alcázar palace, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Andalusian capital is also worth visiting for its narrow streets and flower-filled patios (in the Santa Cruz district) and its vast terraced gardens along the river, via the Paseo de Cristóbal Colón.
Your cycling route will then take you to Arcos de la Frontera, a town perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the surrounding hills. From there, you will continue along the mountainside on the popular and beautiful White Villages Route, so named because of the whitewashed houses. Andalusia on two wheels is a brilliant choice in more ways than one!
