At the very tip of Italy’s “boot,” Calabria reveals a unique character—wild and radiant. Bordered by two seas and dominated by a striking mountain range, this still-undiscovered region offers a raw, authentic, and unpretentious side of Italy. A cycling tour that highlights the beauty of the landscapes: cliffs plunging into the Mediterranean, villages clinging to the hillsides, olive groves stretching as far as the eye can see, and scenic roads lined with citrus groves and fragrant scrubland.
From Lamezia Terme to Catanzaro, passing through Tropea and the turquoise waters of the Costa degli Dei, you’ll ride along some of Italy’s most spectacular beaches before crossing the Strait of Messina to Sicily, adding a touch of adventure to the route. Here, simplicity and authentic charm take center stage: no artificial scenery, just the power of the landscapes and the warmth of southern Italy. An itinerary for cyclists who love freedom, Mediterranean warmth, and unspoiled landscapes far from the crowds.
