The shores of the St. Lawrence River are among the province’s most popular destinations. Yet, further up on the river’s north shore lies the North Shore, a region that attracts relatively few tourists despite its breathtaking natural beauty.
We invite you to explore the area, starting from Tadoussac—the gateway to the North Shore—on a journey that takes you along the river all the way to Baie-Comeau. Like its neighbor in the Charlevoix region, this area is known for its valleys, which you’ll traverse in the same way as the first settlers who settled these lands in the 16th century.
Hard work pays off, and your efforts will be rewarded many times over, with access to secluded vistas whose untamed beauty will make you forget the day’s climb!
Now it’s your turn to discover why the region’s motto is “Between nature and excess”!
With the Self-guided option, enjoy your trip at your own pace and on your own terms. We’ll provide you with the itinerary and book your accommodations—the rest is up to you!
