Touring Lake Megantic with my mother on a bike-camping trip. 40°C in the shade. Long, hellish climbs (we were loaded like mules), followed by euphoric descents. Late afternoon, exhausted, we stopped at a campsite. All full. We pedal on with pain and misery to the next one. Closed. Discouragement. We push on, the sun beating down, and, miracle! A campsite with waterslides! We spend the evening sliding, glass of wine in hand! It's magical!
