The Auvergne is the archetype of old village France - with gentlemen in berets and ladies in aprons - of a beauty little-known to tourists. And this peaceful life rests on Europe's largest volcanic complex, dormant and beautifully greened.
It's all spectacular scenery, demanding for the calf, but of exceptional scope. During your stay, you'll loop through Le Puy-en-Velay, capital of the region and home to the famous12th-century Notre-Dame cathedral, Saint-Flour, a sub-prefecture perched on a rocky outcrop, and Saint-Nectaire, the commune that gave its name to the delicious cheese we know so well. Long live Auvergne, hard work, culture and gourmet delights!
With our Self-guided package, you can enjoy your stay as you wish, in complete independence. We give you the itinerary, book your accommodation and the rest is up to you!
3 STOPPING TOWNS: Your itinerary, designed in loops around three stopover towns, limits the number of trips you have to make, leaving you free to discover and enjoy the places you get off at. Make the most of it!
