Between turquoise shores and wild hills

At the very tip of the Italian boot, Calabria reveals a wild and luminous face all its own. Bordered by two seas and dominated by a striking mountain range, this little-known region offers a raw, authentic and unadorned Italy. A cycling trip that focuses on the beauty of the landscape: cliffs plunging into the Mediterranean, villages clinging to the hills, fields of olive groves as far as the eye can see and panoramic roads lined with citrus groves and fragrant maquis.

From Lamezia Terme to Catanzaro, via Tropea and the turquoise waters of the Costa degli Dei, you'll cruise along some of Italy's most spectacular beaches before crossing the Strait of Messina to Sicily, adding a touch of adventure to the itinerary. Here, the emphasis is on simplicity and real charm: no artificial scenery, just the power of the landscape and the generosity of southern Italy. An itinerary for cyclists who love freedom, Mediterranean warmth and unspoilt countryside far from the crowds.
