Scenic routes and the deep blue Atlantic

Discover the Cabot Trail, a stunning scenic route that winds along the coast of Cape Breton Island, nestled between the sea and the mountains. The trail follows the island’s northern coast and climbs up to the Highlands National Park, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic.

From there, you’ll reach Chéticamp, the region’s Acadian heritage hub, for a glimpse into the area’s Francophone culture. You’ll then head to Sydney and its charming harbor, via Bras d’Or Lake and its quiet roads. Take the opportunity to visit the Fortress of Louisbourg, the largest reconstruction of an 18th-century French fortified town on the continent. Jean Cabot captured the full beauty of the region in 1497. Now it’s your turn to do the same!
