Discover one of Europe's most beautiful cycle routes: the Vélodyssée. From Rennes to the luminous beaches of the Vendée, this route follows peaceful canals, wild estuaries and charming seaside villages. The journey begins in the heart of authentic Brittany, with lush green countryside, picturesque locks and friendly stops along the Vilaine. The itinerary continues on to Nantes, a city of art and history, before leading you gradually towards the Atlantic Ocean and its perfume of freedom.
Each stage offers its share of discoveries: oyster ports, salt marshes, crossing the Gois to the island of Noirmoutier, long sandy beaches and lively seaside resorts. A real immersion in French coastal culture, punctuated by the pleasure of riding on safe, well-marked trails. Accessible and enjoyable, this cycling trip is as appealing for its diversity as for its gentle pace. It's an ideal getaway for enjoying the pleasures of travel in all simplicity... with an eye to the horizon.
