How to book?

What payment methods are available to pay for my trip?

When you make your reservation, we offer the following payment methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard

Can I make changes to my reservation once it has been confirmed?

To make any changes to your reservation, please contact us by email or phone.

 

Can I make a reservation for more than one person?

You can make reservations for your entire group. For any special requests or to book a customized trip, please contact us by email or phone.

How far in advance should I book my bike trip?

Guided Travel Package Guided depending on departure availability:
If you choose a trip that includes air transportation, you must make your reservation 70 days before the departure date, depending on trip availability. Once the 70-day deadline has passed, Vélo Québec Voyages will return any unsold airline tickets. Travelers who book their trip after this date will be responsible for the difference in the cost of the airline ticket, which must be purchased individually. Without air transportation: up to 45 days before your departure date.

Self-guided package Self-guided
We recommend booking your trip as early as possible due to high demand during the summer season. Some establishments may be fully booked if reservations are made too close to the departure date.

Reservations for Self-guided tours Self-guided
For all Self-guided tours, please allow sufficient time between your reservation request and your desired departure date to give us time to plan the details of your trip.

Reservation deadlines: 

  • 3- to 6-day packages in Quebec: up to 21 business days before departure
  • Packages of 7 days or more in Quebec and Ontario: up to 28 business days before departure
  • Packages in the Maritimes and Western Canada: up to 28 business days prior to departure
  • Packages in the United States, Europe, and Guadeloupe: up to 28 business days before departure

Can I contact you to book a customized trip to a destination that is not on your website?

We are always happy to hear more about your dream destinations. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any requests for tailor-made trips.

Questions about Grand Tour and Petite Aventure events

Is it possible to do the Grand Tour and the Petite Aventure an electric bike?

Yes, electrical outlets will be available for participants during events.

Is it possible to have a gluten-free menu for people with allergies?

A gluten-free menu is available at mealtimes. However, due to the large volume involved in the logistics of meal service during the Grand Tour and Petite Aventure, we cannot guarantee 100% that there will be no cross-contamination of food. The gluten-free menu is therefore available for participants who are gluten intolerant, but is not recommended for participants with celiac disease.

Is it possible to modify the Grand Tour or Petite Aventure package?

No, packages are offered according to the formulas and duration as presented on our website and cannot be modified.

Is it possible to access the meal service for the Grand Tour and the Petite Aventure paying for accommodation?

The packages offered are non-modifiable and therefore include accommodation and meals. However, you may bring your own meals, but it is not possible to deduct the price of meals from your package.

Questions about unused services

How can I get a refund?

Vélo Québec Voyages will not issue any refunds for any services not used during the trip.

Are hotel accommodations offered at La Petite Aventure people who do not wish to camp?

No, the only accommodation offered for the Petite Aventure the Village-étape campground.

Is it possible to rent a tent for four people for the Petite Aventure weekend?

We only offer tents for two adults, with enough space for two additional children. However, a group of four adults will need to take two tents.

Travel with Vélo Québec Voyages

Am I required to follow a group or a specific pace when traveling?

All trips are conducted at your own pace, with support tailored to your speed. This means you can ride with complete peace of mind, without the pressure of having to keep up with a group or pace that doesn't suit you.

Is it possible to take rest days instead of doing the day's tour during my trip?

Several of our trips are built around stopover cities that allow you to enjoy optional rest days during most of your stay. However, transit days are mandatory since accommodations are booked in advance. If you are traveling with a guide, it may be possible to travel with the support vehicle.

In the event of injury, a decision will be made in consultation with the participant, our guide, and a doctor (if necessary) regarding the continuation of the trip.

Can I leave earlier or return later?

Don't hesitate to ask our advisors if it's possible to book accommodation before departure or after the end of your cycling trip so you can enjoy your destination for longer. Are you visiting the Costa Brava and want to end your trip with a few days of relaxation in Barcelona? Before exploring the Alps, would you like to recover from jet lag with a stay in Lyon? Can I bring my electric bike?

  • Travel WITH flight

No. Lithium batteries are dangerous goods. Even if you remove the battery from your bike, airlines have safety requirements and refuse to allow electric bikes on board. For more information, check the airlines' information on prohibited or restricted items.

  • Travel WITHOUT flying

You can bring your electric bike on one of our trips that does not involve air travel. When you register, please let us know so that we can plan for it in the trip logistics.

Is it possible to rent a bike for my trip?

We offer bike rental services at several of our destinations. Look for the corresponding information on your destination page, or contact us for more information about the types of bikes available for rent at your destination.
