Duration
14 nights
Level
3 - Moderate - hilly, sometimes mountainous - 50 to 80 km
From the foothills of the Pyrenees to the outskirts of Montpellier, the Languedoc and Roussillon regions are best explored at a leisurely pace by bike. For this trip, we’ve chosen to follow the Mediterranean coast and venture into the wine-growing hinterland. Our route includes eight stopover towns: Argelès-sur-Mer, Perpignan, Port-la-Nouvelle, Narbonne, Béziers, Sète, Montpellier, and Marseille.
Along the way, you’ll have four free days to choose from: a bike loop through the vineyards or a relaxing day at your own pace.
This trip is an invitation to experience the region. Between pedal strokes, you’ll meet passionate winemakers and producers: tastings, winery tours, meals at the producers’ homes, and more.
This Level 3 tour is suitable for cyclists who ride regularly. Daily distances range from about 44 to 72 km, and several stages offer a longer option. A Vélo Québec Voyages guide will accompany you, along with a support vehicle. We also handle the transport of your luggage.
