From Saint-Anselme to Quebec City
For the grand start of the Grand Tour 2025 presented by Le Lait, we've got a great day in store for you, as you enjoy the calm of the Chaudière River as you make your way upstream to the St. Lawrence River and on to Lévis and Quebec City. Fill your water bottles, oil your chains and eat a good breakfast, because today, we're rolling!
To help you prepare for your departure, here's what you need to know:
- Start site: Saint-Anselme Arena - 825 Rte Bégin, Saint-Anselme, QC G0R 2N0.
- Parking : A $20 fee is charged for parking, payable in cash only upon arrival at the site.
- If you're missing bracelets, or have received faulty ones, drop by the INFO booth before you set off and we'll rectify the situation.
- Do you sleep with a CPAP machine? You can leave it at the INFO booth. We'll bring it to Quebec Village, where you can sleep inside.
- Would you like to get off to a good start by taking the shortened 39 km route? Drop by the INFO Kiosk so we can transfer your lunch to the finish site.
- Do you have any questions? Drop in at the INFO booth before you set off.

Vélo Québec is proud to have Milk as a presenting partner of the Grand Tour. Enjoy a good chocolate milk to help you recover after the effort when you arrive at the Village.
- Take advantage of theEscape Café truck at the start between 6:30 and 10 a.m. for a good cup of coffee, or in the village during the afternoon. Don't forget your reusable mug!
- Come and try out several outdoor games (spikeball, badminton, arrow bow and Finnish bowling) supplied by Décathlon!
- Buy Vélo Québec merchandise at our Village Boutique between 12 and 9 pm.
- Come and enjoy a good beer from Siboire, the official beer of the Grand Tour, between 3 pm and 10:30 pm at the village bistro.
- At the finish line, enjoy a well-deserved chocolate milk, courtesy of Le Lait.
- If you have any questions, unforeseen circumstances or last-minute changes, come and see us at the Vélo Québec INFO booth. The INFO booth at the start line in Saint-Anselme will be open from 6:30 am to 10:00 am. The one in the village, in Quebec City, is open from 12:00 to 21:00.

Crossing Lévis → Québec - August 2 (free)
- Schedule: between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. First crossing: 9:30 am. Last crossing: 4:00 pm. There are crossings every 30 minutes.
- Capacity per departure: maximum 200 cyclists per crossing.
- Waiting area: corner of Laurier and Saint-Laurent.
The GT bracelet will serve as a "ticket".
Bicycle racks will be available on the ferry.
Regular route, 78 km
Meet at the meeting point - Saint-Anselme Arena - 825 Rte Bégin, Saint-Anselme, QC G0R 2N0.
For your first day on the roads of Chaudière-Appalaches, discover the banks of the Chaudière and St. Lawrence rivers, which will accompany you to our first village.
Shortcut, 39 km
Fancy a gentle start? Cut 39 kilometers (half the regular distance) from your day by turning north immediately. Please note that this route does not include the lunch stop. If you choose this option, drop by the INFO Kiosk so we can transfer your lunch box to Quebec City village.
Optional route 1, + 15 km
Want to add more kilometers to your day? This first optional route of the Grand Tour will allow you to extend your day right from the start via the Cycloroute de Bellechasse to the south.
Gravito stop 1 - km 19
Fill up on fresh water and enjoy an energy-boosting snack to end your day at the day's ravioli stop in Scott village.
Lunch stop - km 35
On this first day of the Grand Tour, you'll have lunch at the Centre des loisirs de Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, located at 1096 rue du Pont, Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon, QC G0S 2W0.
Taste the cheese of the day, courtesy of Fromages d'ici: Fou Raide (Fromagerie La Chaudière).
The lunch stop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take one last break in Lévis before crossing the river to our village in Quebec City!
In the village
Once you've arrived at the Village in beautiful Quebec City, you'll find all kinds of activities on offer. Whether you're looking to unwind, have a drink or take your mind off things, we've got you covered!
Tonight in the village, you can :
- Take a shower at Festidouches between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
- Enjoy a session of massage therapy between 2 pm and 10 pm (village) :
- Prices:
Village (2 pm - 10 pm): $55 for 30 minutes, $100 for 55 minutes (taxes included). Reserve your session by stopping by the massage therapy booth at the start before you hit the road! You can also reserve your massage therapy session in advance by texting Maude at (819) 817-8958 with your choice of time slot. You'll receive a prompt reply confirming your appointment or suggesting an alternative time slot. Don't wait to book your next session!
- Prices:
- Enjoy the many games provided by Décathlon from 2pm to 8pm.
- Visit the SOCIOJEUX boutique.
- Watch a film at the village cinema, from 3pm to 11pm.
- Move muscles other than your calves with pilates, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (yoga mat not provided).
- Swimming at the Saint-Sacrement pool between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., a 1.5 km bike ride from the village (free)
- Have a drink (or two, or three... ) at the bistro between 3 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
- Vibrate to the sounds of the DJ from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m.
