The “ Self-guided ” experience is designed for independent road cyclists. You choose your departure date and your dream destination, and you’ll enjoy a travel itinerary planned by our advisors: transportation, lodging, meals, and, of course, our exclusive routes. These routes feature points of interest around stopover towns selected for their range of services and lodging options. This way, you’ll set off with all the information you need to ensure your trip goes smoothly. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll enjoy greater freedom—without a guide or support vehicle—allowing you to decide how to spend each day!

In the land of the log drivers, let yourself be carried from lake to river at your own pace, following your cycling whims.

Along the way, you’ll pass the famous Notre-Dame-du-Cap Basilica and the charming little working-class neighborhoods of yesteryear that now make up the greater Trois-Rivières area. On a bike, the heart of the Mauricie region will make your heart race with excitement!

With the “ Self-guided ” package, enjoy your trip on your own terms, with complete independence. We’ll provide you with the itinerary and book your accommodations—the rest is up to you!

2 nights in a three- or four-star hotel, double occupancy;

 

2 breakfasts;

luggage transport between each stopover city (one bag per person, maximum 20 kg) (luggage transfer is at 10:00 a.m.);

GPX data, maps, and daily itineraries in electronic format;

  • parking at the Trois-Rivières Casino;
  • information to ensure a smooth trip: contact information and phone numbers for transportation providers at the destination, bike shops, an emergency contact number, etc.;
  • taxes;

Not included: transportation of the passenger, their luggage, and their bicycle to the departure point; equipment, such as the bicycle; the services of a guide; mechanical repairs and access to a support vehicle; expenses incurred in the event of a mechanical or physical mishap;coverage under the Travel Agents’ Customer Compensation Fund (FICAV), which provides $1 per $1,000 and any applicable discount.

Departure from Trois-Rivières.

Trois-Rivières, St-Louis-de-France, Saint-Maurice, Lac à la Tortue, Grand-Mère, Shawinigan. Alternative route via Saint-Narcisse, Saint-Stanislas-de-Champlain, Saint-Adèlphe, Saint-Thècle, Saint-Tite, Hérouville (60, 80, or 130 km).

Day 2

Shawinigan, St-Jean-des-Piles, La Mauricie National Park (optional), St-Mathieu-du-Parc, St-Élie-de-Caxton, St-Paulin (50 km to 121 km).

Day 3

St-Paulin, Sainte-Angèle-de-Prémont, Sainte-Ursule, Louisville, Yamachiche, Pointe du Lac, Trois-Rivières. Alternative route via St-Alexis-des-Monts, St-Didace, St-Édouard-de-Maskinongé. (75 or 120 km).
