Explore the Lower Laurentians and Western Montérégie

The Parcours des Traverses will take you from one shore to the other, allowing you to discover viewpoints, atmospheres, and landscapes that are both enchanting and diverse. Enjoy a pleasant break on the water as you cross on the Oka/Hudson and Passeur Carillon/Pointe Fortune ferries, and take in the route that runs along the shores of Lake Deux-Montagnes, winding through the lands, villages, and hills of the Lower Laurentians and Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

 

Self-guided Tour

With the Self-guided option, enjoy your trip at your own pace and on your own terms. We’ll provide you with the itinerary and book your accommodations—the rest is up to you!

 

Package includes

 

2 nights in hostels, double occupancy;

 

2 breakfasts;

luggage transport between each stopover (one bag per person, maximum 15 kg);

GPX data, maps, and daily itineraries in electronic format;

  • parking at the Auberge de l’Abbaye d’Oka;
  • breakfasts
  • information to ensure a smooth trip: contact details and phone numbers for local service providers—
    transportation at the destination, bike shops, an emergency contact number, etc.;
  • local products worth $50 per room, provided by Tourisme Vaudreuil-Soulanges through the Auberge des Gallant;
  • a $25 credit valid at Restaurant 1171 at the Auberge des Gallant;
  • taxes;
  • coverage under the Travel Agent Customer Compensation Fund (FICAV), which amounts to $1 per $1,000 and is subject to a deductible;

Not included: transportation of the passenger, their luggage, and their bicycle to the starting point; ferry fares between Carillon and Pointe-Fortune on Day 1 and between Hudson and Oka on Day 2 (payable on site in cash only); equipment, such as the bicycle; the services of a guide; mechanical assistance and access to a support vehicle; expenses in the event of mechanical or physical issues.
