Welcome to the land of castles perched on rocky cliffs, foie gras, truffles, and sweet white wines. Here, life slows down and you feel as though you’re traveling back to a simpler time, when France and its people knew how to savor the pleasures of good food. On your bike, your efforts will be rewarded at the end of the day with hearty meals showcasing the agriculture and livestock of the Périgord, always steeped in the region’s royal history.
From Cahors to Sarlat via Rocamadour, you’ll journey through the ages—from prehistoric caves to Gallo-Roman ruins, from the Middle Ages to the early Renaissance, not to mention the Pilgrimage Routes to Santiago de Compostela. Make way for refined epicureanism!
With the Self-guided option, enjoy your trip at your own pace and on your own terms. We’ll provide you with the itinerary and book your accommodations—the rest is up to you!
4 STOPOVER TOWNS: Your itinerary, designed as a loop around four stopover towns, minimizes the amount of travel and gives you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the places you visit. Make the most of it!
