Historical Tour of the Atlantic Coast

Set between Brittany and Normandy, this cycling tour brings together these two great regional rivals through their stunning, picturesque roads and shared history, offering a delightful route that will let you savor every moment in the saddle.

This easy cycling tour highlights the region’s rich history: ancient villages, the departure points for Cartier and Champlain’s voyages to the Americas, World War II sites—including the Normandy landings… here, every corner is steeped in history!

The highlight of your trip will undoubtedly be your arrival at Mont-Saint-Michel, whose remarkable abbey is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most visited attractions in France.

Along the way, you can stop at the Christian Dior Museum in Granville, as well as at the beach in Deauville, which has been famous since 1923 for its popular wooden boardwalk known as Les Planches. Hundreds of miles of historic scenery stretch out before you!

Arrival in Nantes and transfer to the hotel in Saint-Malo (3 hours).

Rest day or loop via St-Méloir-des-Ondes, Cancale, La Pointe-du-Grouin, and Rothéneuf (43 km).

A rest day or a loop route via Château-Malo, Châteauneuf-d’Ille-et-Vilaine, Pleudihen-sur-Rance, La Vicomté-sur-Rance, Ploüer-sur-Rance, St-Suliac, and St-Jouan-des-Guérets (50 km).
