From Angers to Blois, you’ll travel back in time to the Renaissance as your bike takes you along the route to the famous châteaux of the Loire Valley, the jewels of France’s architectural heritage. Discover Leonardo da Vinci’s tomb at the Château d’Amboise, or the chambers of Catherine de’ Medici and Diane de Poitiers at the Château de Chenonceau.

Immerse yourself in the world of Hergé at the Château de Cheverny, the inspiration for the famous Moulinsart Castle in his *Adventures of Tintin* series. Wrap up your journey in Blois, whose castle was a favorite residence of the kings of France during the Renaissance. An ideal trip for history and architecture buffs who want to explore grand estates and picturesque, centuries-old roads by bike!

A rest day or a loop via Bouchemaine, Rocheford-sur-Loire, Thouarcé, Bonnezeaux, Soulaines-sur-Aubance, and Les Ponts-de-Cé (63 km).

Angers, Saint-Sulpice, Le Thoureil, Gennes, Cunault, Saumur. Loop via Doué-la-Fontaine (52 to 78 km).
