From one lighthouse to another

Nova Scotia is the heart and soul of Canada’s Atlantic coast: peaceful, sunny, and authentic. This cycling tour takes you along a spectacular stretch of coastline, where small coves are home to colorful fishing boats and lighthouses watch over the sea. From Shelburne to Halifax, via Lunenburg—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—you’ll cycle past wild beaches, historic harbors, and welcoming villages where the irresistible scent of the ocean lingers in the air.

As you’d expect from a scenic route, every day offers its share of picture-perfect moments: a ferry ride across the LaHave River, a gourmet stop at an artisanal bakery, spruce-lined roads, and endless ocean views. The free days let you savor the experience at your own pace: explore further by bike… or let yourself be lulled by the calm of the Atlantic coast. A perfect itinerary for lovers of the sea, simplicity, and long cycling getaways.
